Telegramme was introduced as a second wine to the classic “La Crau” estate Chateauneuf du Pape from Vieux Telegraphe over a decade ago. Initially, it was a blend of largely younger vines produced in a more forward style designed more for early drinking than for extended cellar aging.
Since its inception, many of these “younger” vineyards have grown up. Today, the average age of the vineyards in the Telegramme red is closer to 40 years. As such, this blend has matured into its own unique and markedly plush Grenache and Syrah driven wine. If you’re a fan of juicy bright berry fruit and spicy reds that pair perfectly with grilled meats, this is the wine for you.

“Deep violet. Ripe, spice-accented dark berry and cherry preserve scents show strong garrigue and floral accents. Pliant in texture and broad in the mouth, offering sappy boysenberry, bitter cherry and floral pastille flavors and a peppery topnote. Finishes long and gently chewy, with the floral and spice notes repeating. Drinking window: 2023-2032.”
