Why We Love It:
This is seriously good Left Bank Bordeaux at a ridiculously unserious price. A blend of more or less equal parts Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, this red blend is also a blend of the two main soil types of the Medoc – the clay-limestone in Civrac en Médoc and the other half on sandy-gravel of Bégadan. This winery traces its origins back to the 1850s, where records indicate production began with a mere 90 barrels of wine each year. What began as a 25 acre estate has now grown to roughly twice that size. With nearly a decade of bottle age, this red is ready to go and delivers immense drinking pleasure for fans of mature Bordeaux, all at a miraculous price.

Tasting Notes:
“Evenly balanced between Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, this wine, with its eucalyptus perfumes, is structured and shows its wood aging as well as fruit. With firm tannins and still young, it needs to age. Drink this wine from 2022.”
