Rave Review: eRobertParker.com on 2013 Bastide Saint Dominique CdP “les Hesperides” – 90-92 Points!

WINERY PROFILE | Domaine la Bastide St Dominique

“The more Mourvedre-dominated (50/50 Mourvedre and Grenache) 2013 Châteauneuf du Pape Les Hesperides is also superb, and will probably be one of the longer-lived efforts in the vintage. Peppery herbs, ground pepper, iron/steel and loads of black fruits flow to a medium+-bodied, concentrated, fresh and lively Chateauneuf that will have 10-15 years of longevity. The acidity here is nicely integrated and while it has high tannin, they’re polished and ripe. Nevertheless, short-term cellaring will mostly likely be beneficial here. Proprietor Eric Bonnet has done well in both 2012 and 2013. While his Châteauneuf du Papes are the stars of the show, he makes a bevy of high-quality Côtes du Rhônes that are worth your attention and money.”
