Rave Review: eRobertParker.com on 2011 Chanson Corton Grand Cru “Vergennes” – 90 Points!

WINERY PROFILE | Domaine Chanson

“The 2012 Corton Vergennes Grand Cru has a tight, linear bruised- apple nose that reveals hidden mineral depth with aeration. The palate is well-balanced with a fine bead of acidity, with hints of dried apricot and tropical notes emerging toward the finish that would have benefited from a little more poise. Otherwise, this is fine. Readers should be aware that I intend to investigate the wines of this venerable Burgundy house further in the future – recent vintages having attested to a significant improvement over the wines of old. Here is one example.”
