WINERY PROFILE | Mr Riggs Wines

“The 2006 Shiraz – Viognier (5%) is made predominantly from McLaren Vale fruit with a small portion coming from Langhorne Creek. Most of the wine was aged for 15 months in used French and American oak while 20% was fermented and aged in large casks. The wine is a glass-coating purple with aromas of violets, spice box, pepper, plum, blueberry, and blackberry. Full-bodied, it offers layers of spicy blue and black fruits, ripe tannin, and a long, pure finish. Give it 2-3 years to evolve and drink it through 2020.”
